Lawn Aeration Poplar Bluff, MO
We offer Lawn Aeration in Poplar Bluff.
Lawn Aeration
We remove small cores of soil from your lawn to reduce soil compaction and promote healthier root growth for your grass.
HOW
Our equipment will pull plugs of compacted soil from your lawn. Once it pulls the compacted soil, the water will now be able to drain down into the small holes in your lawn. The roots of the grass will begin growing deeper, creating a more established lawn.
BENEFITS
Reduce Water Runoff & Puddles
Allow the Lawn to Breathe Better
Reduce Soil Compaction
Deeper/Stronger Roots
More Heat/Drought Tolerant
Improve Thatch Breakdown & Fertilization
WHY
Soil becomes very compacted from foot traffic and the different elements of the weather. Soil compaction keeps water and nutrients from diving down deep to the roots of your grass. Once compacted, the grass will always struggle to become fully established and healthy. You will notice that clay soils can be compacted a little easier than sandy soils. Lawn Aeration helps reduce soil compaction, allowing those roots to grow deeper, and make better use of water and fertilize/compost.
WHEN
Cool Grasses like Kentucky Bluegrass, Fescue and Perennial Ryegrass between March-May and August-November.
Warm Grasses like Zoysia and Bermuda between Mid-Spring to Summer.
NO MESS
Most aerators leave plugs laying all over the lawn after aerating. We won’t leave the lawn looking like a mess. Our equipment is designed to stir and loosen the soil beneath the sod without destroying the turf. Our aerator creates a core hole without bringing a core plug to the surface, leaving the turf ready to use immediately after the aeration.
About a week after aeration the holes will be filled in with new root growth. The grass is now getting more oxygen, water, and nutrients from the soil.
You should notice a big difference in water puddles and runoff after a heavy rain on those once high compacted lawns. Your lawn will now absorb that water a lot better and will be able to go longer between being watered. After repeating this process several times, you will notice that your lawn is more tolerant to heat and those long summer droughts.
